SCHOOL MEALS IN BURUNDI

1 KILO OF COFFEE =
10 SCHOOL MEALS IN BURUNDI.

This is how Bean United changes the world with every cup of coffee:

The school meal program motivates more and more children to go to school. This means that they have access to education and a better future.

The children's parents support the project by helping prepare the school meals.

Thomas & Philipp Greulich, Founders
Bean United

"Bean United is based on a social mission:

To give more opportunities to people with fewer chances in life.

To do so, we fund social projects in nutrition and education by paying €2.50 into a social project for every kilo of our coffee beans sold."

Founders Bean United

FAIR & DIRECT -
WE CALL IT
"FRIENDLY TRADE"

FRIENDLY TRADE, DIRECT RELATIONSHIPS

Our value chain is a chain of appreciation: Everyone is treated fairly, respectfully, and at eye level. We maintain direct and friendly relationships with our coffee farmers in the growing regions. A fair price (above Fairtrade level) for great green coffee is a self-evident aspect of this appreciation.

HIGH QUALITY GREEN COFFEE, ORGANICALLY GROWN

Our green coffees come from the best coffee estates and mature at high altitudes. There, they are mainly picked by hand, sorted and carefully processed. Ecological cultivation in harmony with nature plays an important role here.

SPECIALTY ROASTING
Low in acidity. Rich in aroma.

Hardi (Roasting master) refines  the beans with both heart and expertise

TRADITIONEL ROASTING PROCESS

We gently refine the green coffees in traditional long-term roasting under the supervision of our roasting master. The coffee beans develop their full flavor at low temperatures while any unwanted acids are eliminated.
